Masashi Sada, Japan's renowned singer and songwriter of Japanese New Pop Music, makes his first American appearance as a benefit performance at the Japan America Theatre. Since his debut in 1974, he has released nearly 400 songs and 60 albums including many hits. His lyrical and poetic songs express the deep traditions and sentiments of Japan.
The benefit concert celebrates the 25th anniversary of Sada's career as a performer and is a charitable fundraising event for the Japanese Language Scholarship "AURORA" Foundation. The primary goal of the foundation is to nurture and provide support for Japanese language teachers and students of Japanese language education in the USA.
